We should be truly thankful no matter the outcome. In victory or defeat God is with us. His plan is larger than any one of us. So we should be sure to give Him the praise no matter what. Romans 14:11 For it is written," As I live, says the LORD, every knee shall bow to Me, and every tongue shall give PRAISE to God.
I believe God, who never stops caring for us, deserves praise for all things. This weekend for instance I was able to serve my family as my wife was sick. We jested about the reason, but I know God allowed me to serve them. I am not sure of its purpose, but I am blesses either way. God gave me free will, I could have been bitter or angry, yet I choose Love ( Psalm 138:1, I will give You thanks with all my heart). I offer my care for them strictly out of Love. God provides me with that Love so I therefore pass it on.
I also have other things I am thankful for. I have a truck to sleep in. I have food in my belly (Joel 2:26,
You will have plenty to eat and be satisfied and praise the name of the LORD your God), most people would never know I was homeless to look at me. I have work come up just when I need it. I have the best Christian friends surrounding and supporting me. I also have a family, that despite the circumstances, I know Loves me very much. So I have everything to be thankful for. I could look at all this as the glass half empty, yet I am reminded constantly it is half full. Sometimes this may be hard to see, you just have to have faith.
What should you be thankful for? Have you looked around and taken an inventory of your life? If your heart is hardening then you need to reach to God to soften it for you (Ephesians 4:18, They are darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life of God
because of the ignorance that is in them, due to their hardness of
heart.) Without a soft heart you could never see the way God will bless you. You will only see the deceptive world Satan has led you to believe surrounds you. Reach out and let God restore your heart so you too may see the light in your life, instead of darkness. Then praise God for the Love he shows us, even though we do not deserve it.
Lets Pray: Father God, thank You for th blessing you pour into us and we never see. Lord we praise you for all that you do and we take for granted. God I hope those who read this realize just how much you do for them too and they give you your due praise Lord. Help soften their hearts so that they may see that those helping them are sent by you Lord. Your plan is bigger than all of us O'Lord. We Thank You for the blessings we do not deserve and the Grace you pour into our lives. Thank you God and I especially am thankful as you placed the seed in my wife to reach to me to help them. I am blessed Lord to be able to do that. Thank You Father, in Jesus name I pray....AMEN.
