Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust
in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own
understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make
straight your paths.
We must all at some point make decisions effecting our lives. The purpose of todays blog is to use some simple principles in making choices in our lives and taking action regarding indecision we are avoiding. In the flesh our choices our usually based on our perceptions of need or emotions, whereas we should be choosing according to Kingdom principles.
For instance, many of us choose to harbor, ill will, anger, or even bitterness. In the story in 1 Kings 17 the widow chose bitterness and contempt over hope, faith and Love. Until her son was resurrected and God worked two miracles in her life. As Christians we do not want to be that widow. If we harbor any negative feelings to anyone, God expects us to drop down and ask for forgiveness. We should grant the offender forgiveness also. Your life will be enriched and blessed if you follow this path.
Some of us can not make the simplest of decisions. 2 Timothy 3:17, that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work. God wants us to be confident the decisions we make and we should reach to him for guidance and wisdom through prayer. He is willing, all you must do is ask.
Some of us have even bigger decisions to address. However a few of these, as Christians, shouldn't even be on the table. Why? They are not in line with scripture. If our choices do not line up with scripture, then that choice is surely not Godly and should be handed to God in Prayer for help. Two that come to mind are divorce and abortion. I know a may offend a few of you with this statement. However as a Christian I believe every life is precious and every marriage is salvageable if God is in control.
God wants to guide us, he has given us the manual and that is the Bible. All we have to do is read it, ask in prayer, have faith and patience and our God will deliver a decision that is best for us. The key is not rushing in , not taking over, not trying to force Gods will or answer. If we do that, we are saying we know better than God. I don't think I want to be on that side of God.

Sweet Jesus, give us the courage to make important choices that follow scriptural principles. Father God we are blessed to have you in our lives. In Jesus name we pray....AMEN.
