If this is your first visit to the blog, welcome. I want to encourage comments and remarks, if you can associate with this blog, are not sure how to get back on the path God wants you to be, have been affected by sin, or just have questions, please comment or email me. You will never judged here, you will only find encouragement. I do not know why God has placed this BLOG and it's readers in my life, however I pray that it will help others to either help move back into the light, find some understanding or keep a family from suffering as mine has and is. I will faithfully follow through with this testament as God is using it for His glory. Thank you for reading and God Bless.

A Season to Serve

Galatians 5:13 For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.

I couldn't think of a more perfect time to talk about serving. Independence Day is all about us celebrating those who served our country so that we may have our freedoms. However we also should talk about about other serving opportunities. We should all serve the Lord and we should also know that he instructs us to serve in other ways also. Romans 12:9-13, Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves. Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Share with God’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.

God asks us to serve others as Jesus did. (Matthew 20:28, Even as the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”) Today was a good example, our church served at a community event with crowd control and distributing water. This is a way to not only serve but truly impact others lives in a positive way. Later this afternoon I was able to serve some individuals directly and this made my day feel fruitful. To be able to feed people kindness through action is so very powerful and they remember the acts. We must remember to thank God for the opportunity to serve in His name and to continuously serve freely and without expectations. God will bless you in many ways for blessing others.

Today had I been able to serve my family, it would have felt complete. This is something I had grown to enjoy and given the opportunity I would do again in a minute. God will allow me to do this again one day and honestly I cannot wait until that day. It was as if I am filled up and renewed when I could serve them. (Ephesians 5:25-26, Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word.) God wants us to serve each other in many ways. By submitting to our spouses we are showing a mutual respect and Love. If we would only do this more often many of the problems of marriage would never have any power.

Let's Pray: Father God, Thank You Lord for another great day of Independence and Lord we thank You for the freedoms we have. Father please forgive us for our sins Lord and teach us humility. Teach us to serve without question and to submit to you and those who you tell us too. Father Bless those who protect our freedoms and use this time of serving to give You glory Lord. We can never repay you Father for all your blessings you bestow upon us, but we can serve You Father. Father God thank you for all that you do and we ask all these things in Jesus name...AMEN.
